FOCS
Friends of Cosby School (FOCS)have been an integral part of the school community for many years. The committee runs fundraising opportunities for the school to raise money for the benefit of the school, enhancing learning and play.
FOCS has raised thousands of pounds, which have been spent on improving resources and equipment to enhance our children's education and the facilities in school in general.
Recently FOCS has purchased multi functional outdoor sports equipment along with picnic benches and seating, as well as contributing to a nature area in the school grounds.
The next items on the school's wish list are the development of our library area and sensory room.
FOCS is about much, much more than just fundraising. The committee exists to provide closer links between home and school, and it is an excellent way to bring staff, parents and friends together socially in support of the school, working towards a common goal. It is fun too - just ask any of the committee members or helpers.
All parents and members of the school community can and do get involved if they want to, even if they only have a small amount of time available.
FOCS is extremely conscious of the ethos and morals of our school, and we try very hard when organising and planning events to respect this.
If you feel that you would like to be a part of the FOCS family then please get in touch!
Whilst supported by the school, FOCS is not a PTA, and relies entirely on volunteers. If you are interested in joining FOCS please contact a member of the FOCS Team.
